Godwin Makyao
Founder/CEO

Godwin Makyao founded Maktech in 2000 and has seen it grow over the years to serve the best African cellular companies through a large Tanzanian and African work force. His experience spans over 15 years during which he has gained a wealth of experience and come to understand the intricacies of the telecommunications industry globally. Prior to founding Maktech, Godwin worked as a Transmissions Coordinator at Vodacom Tanzania and Tritel as Head of Transmissions.

 

Godwin holds a BSc in Electronics and Communications from the University of Dar es Salaam and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Liverpool.

Judith Godi
Corporate Manager

Judy has extensive experience in management of the company, client relations, corporate and company legal affairs and pricing strategies. Judy has been with Maktech for the main part of its history and has influenced the successes and growth in the formative years

Judy holds a BA Degree in Sociology from the University of Dar es Salaam.

 

Isabelle Waweru
Business Development Manager

Isabelle has an impressive and knowledgeable foundation in the business field. She has adequate experience in research, sales, marketing, advertising, client relations and communications. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree – Communication from Daystar University, Kenya and is currently undergoing her last year at ESAMI (East and Southern Africa Management Institute) for the MBA degree.

 

John Matau
BSS Manager.

John Matau has an impressive knowledge of the telecommunications industry and the dynamics involved due to the experience he has gained from more than 10 years in the telecommunications industry.

John holds an International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS) majoring in Programming and a Full Technician Certificate in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the DSM Institute of Technology.

 

Samwel Mbundu
Programme Management Technical

Samwel is an expert in network design, configuration, networks deployment, network optimization and project management of networks. He is a great asset due to his precision in the installation and commissioning of all transmission networks.

Samwel holds a BSC Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dar Es Salaam and other Industry Certifications.

 

Tengwe Mukwenya
Transmission Manager.

Tengwe has over 15 years telecoms experience in Africa and has trained with the major telecommunications vendors giving him a broad expertise. He is well-versed with a wide range of technologies including Optic Fiber deployment.

Mukwenya holds a Full Technician Certificate Course (FTC) in Electronics and Telecommunications from Harare Polytechnic, Zimbabwe

 

Julius Lyakurwa
Project Management.

Julius has been in the telecommunications industry for over ten years during which he has gained invaluable experience in Installation, Commissioning and Integration of networks. Julius possesses focused project management and project logistics skills.

Julius holds a BSc in Engineering from the University of Dar Es Salaam.

 

Timothy Mugendi
O&M Manager

Timothy has strong project management skills and total quality management. He heads the operations and maintenance department due to his knowledge in power mechanics and also familiarity with the installation, commissioning & integration of equipment from the large telecom vendors. Timothy has a comprehensive background in Quality Management.

James holds a National Diploma in Electrical Engineering and numerous other industry certifications.
